The AssociationWhat is the Denturist Association of Manitoba?The mandate of a regulatory body is to protect the public through the administration of legislation. In Manitoba, the regulatory body for the profession of Denturism is called the Denturist Board of Manitoba. The Board sets the rules for licensing Denturists, and investigates disciplinary matters that cannot be resolved by the Complaints Committee. The Board is comprised of four Denturists, the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Registrar, and two government-appointed public laypersons. The Denturist Association of Manitoba represents its members, provides education, promotes the profession, facilitates a formal complaints process, ensures members have malpractice insurance, and sees to the day-to-day business of the membership. Membership in the association is mandatory for licensure. An elected Executive administers the affairs of the association, and serve on standing committees (Admissions, Complaints, Advertising, etc.). The Denturist Association of Manitoba is a member of the Denturist Association of Canada, and the International Federation of Denturists.
